Job summary

Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Middlesbrough, part of Lithia UK, offers a Vehicle Technician Apprentice role starting September 2026. The programme combines dealership hands-on work with structured training and mentorship, progressing toward an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance.

No prior automotive experience is required; the apprenticeship is designed to train and develop you into a qualified Vehicle Technician over three years, including attendance at the Coventry

Qualifications

Genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
A keen eye for detail.
Grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

Learn to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions.
Learn to diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
Maintain repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers.
