Evans Halshaw Vauxhall, Shiremoor is offering a Vehicle Technician Apprentice role within Lithia UK. The apprenticeship combines dealership hands-on experience with structured training and mentoring, aiming for an IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance over a 3-year programme.

Successful candidates will join a programme with 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance and exclusive employee discounts.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry.
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• A keen eye for detail.
• A grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Learning to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions.
• Learning to diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
• Maintain repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers.
