Lithia UK is recruiting a Vehicle Technician Apprentice for a September 2026 start at Evans Halshaw Ford Motherwell. You’ll gain hands-on dealership experience while working toward IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, laying the foundations to become a qualified Technician.

No prior automotive experience is required; you’ll receive mentoring, structured training and attend the Training Academy in Daventry 12 times for four days each during the three-year programme.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry.
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• A keen eye for detail.
• A grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles following instructions and diagnose/repair components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain repair and service records.
