Job summary

Evans Halshaw Ford Motherwell is recruiting a Vehicle Technician Apprentice for a September 2026 start. You will combine hands-on dealership work with structured training and an IMI Level 3 qualification, supported by a mentor. No prior automotive experience is required to apply.

You will attend the Training Academy in Daventry 12 times for 4 days each over a 3-year programme, building long-term skills and a career as a Technician.

Qualifications

• Interest in vehicles and automotive industry.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Grade C/4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles, check and maintain them following instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain repair and service records in the in-house system and for customers.
