Job description

Vehicle Service Technician

• Location : Telford
• Salary : £28,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience) + £400 / month sustainable bonus
• Contract Type : Permanent
• Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (paid at overtime rate)

We’re currently recruiting for a Vehicle Service Technician to join our experienced workshop team in Telford. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing and repairs, with training and development provided to help you progress in your career.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using modern diagnostic tools
• Conduct thorough safety checks and road tests to ensure all work meets required standards
• Liaise closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Complete relevant documentation and service records accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organised workspace

About You

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician in a workshop environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence required
• Level 2 qualification also considered with relevant hands‑on experience
