Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is currently working with a major dealer group in Preston to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician. The role requires 3+ years workshop experience, a full UK driving license, and qualification evidence.

You will carry out servicing and maintenance, diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and perform MOT testing duties if qualified. A competitive package includes bonus and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years workshop experience.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• MOT License is very beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.
• MOT testing duties (if qualified).

Salary Up to £44,000 Basic + Bonus + Overtime DOE & Qualifications (Higher basic salaries for MOT license holders)

Days Monday Friday, 8:30am 5pm, Saturdays on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
• MOT License is very beneficial but not essential
