Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited has a vacancy for a Vehicle Technician in Salford. The role requires 3+ years of workshop experience and a full UK driving license, with Level 3 qualification preferred.

MOT tester status is desirable but not essential, and a door-to-door career path with a well-known main dealer network awaits. You will service and diagnose across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with opportunities for overtime, an attractive signing bonus of £1,500, and a company car

Qualifications

• 3+ years of workshop experience in a vehicle technician role.
• Level 3 qualification (NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds) or equivalent; Level 2 accepted with main dealership experience.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and perform repairs.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Days- Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, Saturday mornings on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
• MOT License is beneficial but not essential
