Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd urgently seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester in Preston. Role requires a valid MOT Class 4 license and a Full UK driving license, with workshop experience and the ability to work independently. Salary up to £41,000 basic plus bonus and overtime DOE.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays on a rota. This is a great opportunity with potential for career progression within a leading dealer group.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Class 4 license held and up to date with MOT testing requirements.
• Full UK driving license held and valid.
• Experience in workshop environment with independent working capability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults and repair, including warranty work where applicable.
• Perform Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties for vehicles.
• Adhere to brand parameters and safety standards while delivering quality workmanship.
