Job summary

Halfords Garage Services is recruiting at one of our Fusion centres in the UK. As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will service, diagnose and repair vehicles, including more complex tasks such as clutch/timing belt replacements and electronics work.

You will join a team focused on delivering a first-class customer experience, in a modern workshop with opportunities to progress and gain ATA/MOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Tackle more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics in areas like electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

• Comprising a base salary of £31,500 - £33,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £7,100 per year.
• 5 days a week (this centre is closed on Sunday's)

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
