Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join the Fusion centres within the Halfords Garage Services team in the UK. You will perform servicing, diagnostics and more complex repairs (clutches, timing belts) to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification (or time served) and a clean driving licence with up to 9 points. A 5-day week and opportunities for progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience diagnosing and carrying out repairs (brakes, steering/suspension, engine).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics and more complex repairs (e.g., clutches, timing belts).
• Contribute to a first-class customer experience in Halfords Fusion centres.

Job description

On-target earnings up to £41,700

Comprising a base salary of £35,000

An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,700 per year.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
