Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The role focuses on servicing and repair work, with the ability to tackle more complex tasks including clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Carry out complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Diagnose issues in electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

• On-target earnings up to £45,000
• Comprising a base salary of £32,790 - £38,100
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,900 per year.
• 5 days a week (closed on Sunday's)

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. Youll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
