Job summary

Halfords Garage Services invites a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our Fusion centre team in a customer‑focused environment. You will service and repair vehicles, perform diagnostics, and handle more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.

Expect a base salary of £35,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging £6,700 per year, giving on-target earnings up to £41,700. Enjoy excellent benefits and clear opportunities to progress within Halfords.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience as a diagnostics capable technician (brakes, steering/suspension, engine).
• Ability to carry out complex repairs (clutches, timing belts, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostic work and repairs on braking, steering/suspension, engine.
• Work within modern Fusion centre facilities to deliver first-class customer experience.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
