Job summary

Halfords in Croydon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including advanced diagnostics and equipment. You will tackle tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, and work on brakes, steering and suspension systems.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent time served experience, plus a full UK driving licence (≤9 points).

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience diagnosing and carrying out complex repairs (brakes, steering, suspension, engines).

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
