Vehicle Technician – Full‑time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs using the latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.
- Carry out inspections, repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
- Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and methods.
- Complete servicing and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely and in line with manufacturer standards.
- Provide input and share experience to contribute to a collaborative and skilled workshop team.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle, Car Mechanic Repair or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician (required).
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Vehicle Maintenance Principles Level 2 (required).
- Time‑served mechanics with strong references will also be considered.
- MOT certification is desirable but not essential – alternative opportunities are offered.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- 12‑hour and 6‑hour shifts across the week.
- Shift work mix – includes days, nights and a mix of days & nights with 4 off.
- Shift pattern example: 12 hrs – 7 am to 7 pm (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).
