Job summary

The AA is seeking a Technical Helpdesk Advisor to join our Oldbury office on site. You will provide expert technical support and repair guidance to customers by phone, ensuring breakdowns are attended only when truly needed.

You will also record detailed data in our databases for insights and decision making. Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair, excel at solving problems, and communicate complex information clearly.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and substantial experience in motor vehicle repair.
• Strong problem solving to diagnose and fix vehicle issues remotely.
• Excellent communication to explain technical information clearly to customers and patrols.
• Flexible to work outside standard hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and repair advice to customers via telephone.
• Record data accurately in company databases to aid decision making.
• Direct patrols to sites where breakdowns occur and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and meet targets.
