Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician in Chertsey to perform interim, full and major services along with related repairs such as brakes, tyres and suspension. The role requires hands-on mechanical work and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and related repair and replacement work.
• Other workshop duties as required by the service centre.

On-target earnings up to: £40,910

Compensated with a base salary of £32,500 - £35,910, an uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £5,000 per year. Five days a week (this centre is closed on Sundays). Earn extra with our refer a friend scheme.

Role Overview

Qualified Mechanic or Technician? Join Halfords as a Vehicle Service Technician where you will carry out interim, full and major services as well as any follow-up repair and replacement work. Such work includes tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension, amongst others.
