Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Service Technician in the UK. You will perform interim, full and major services, plus follow-up repairs such as brakes, suspension and steering components, tyres and air conditioning maintenance.

A full driving licence with up to 9 points is required and a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience is essential. The role offers on-site work, with a strong focus on customer service, progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services and related repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and follow-up repair work.
• Replace parts for brakes, suspension and steering components as required.
• Perform tyres, air conditioning service and other common service tasks.

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £38,330.
  Comprising a base salary of £33,830.
  An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,500 per year.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
