Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician in Taunton to perform interim, full and major services, plus follow-up repairs. This role requires a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience, and a full driving licence with up to 9 points.

You will work five days a week in a busy Autocentre, with a competitive base salary plus a transparent bonus scheme and staff benefits. Training and development opportunities are available within Halfords.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus repairs (brakes, suspension, steering, air con etc).

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and follow-up repair work.
• Perform tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension tasks as needed.
• Contribute to service quality and customer satisfaction.

On-target earnings up to £38,500. Comprising a base salary of up to £34,000. An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,500 per year. 5 days a week.

Role Overview

Qualified Mechanic or Technician? Join Halfords as a Vehicle Service Technician where you will carry out interim, full and major services as well as any follow-up repair and replacement work. Such work includes tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension, amongst others.
