Job summary

A vehicle repair company in Bradford is looking for a skilled vehicle mechanic to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and maintain vehicles. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

Key responsibilities of a vehicle mechanic

• Fault diagnosis: Identifying the source of vehicle problems using visual inspections, diagnostic tools, and test drives.
• Repairs and maintenance: Replacing worn or damaged parts like brakes, tires, batteries, engine components, and performing regular servicing like oil changes and filter replacements.
• Customer interaction: Explaining repair needs to customers and addressing concerns.
• Road testing: Checking if repairs have been completed successfully by driving the vehicle.
• Parts management: Ordering and maintaining inventory of spare parts.
• Record keeping: Updating vehicle service history and documenting repairs performed.
• Technical knowledge: Staying updated on new vehicle technologies and repair procedures.
