Job summary

Babcock International is seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join on-site at Chivenor. You’ll work a 37-hour week across four days, Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 16:45, with supplied tools and equipment and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair required.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology required.
• BTEC Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology required.
• Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance.
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards.
