Job summary

Babcock International is seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic for a four-day, 37-hour week on site at Chivenor. You will diagnose, service and repair military and civilian vehicles, with supplied tools and equipment and opportunities for overtime.

This role offers training, career progression and a supportive team in defence, aerospace and engineering. Abilities to obtain Security Check clearance are required, and your work will help keep critical operations moving.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, inspecting and assessing vehicle faults.
• Ability to complete vehicle documentation and test certification accurately.
• Experience in maintenance, servicing and repair practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards
