Job summary

Babcock is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to work on military and civilian vehicles at sites across the UK. The role offers a 37-hour week, Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00 and Friday 07:30–12:30, with full tooling supplied and on-site gym access.

You will diagnose, service and repair vehicles, keeping certification documents up to date while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will join a defence and engineering organisation that emphasizes long-term development, teamwork

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology.
• BTEC Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology.
• Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic qualification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards
