Position Available: Vehicle Mechanic

Location:Belper

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (with a 15:30 finish on Fridays)

Contract Type:Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:Are you an experienced Vehicle Mechanic looking for a role with regular hours and no weekends? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to join our team in Belper, working on a diverse range of vehicles for a local authority. From police cars to council vehicles, you’ll be responsible for servicing and repair work, ensuring their optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake servicing and repair work on a variety of vehicles, including police cars, unmarked police cars, and council vehicles.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Complete all tasks to a high standard within specified timeframes.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
