Van Delivery Driver, Basildon

£13.73 an hour Friday and Saturday

The Chesterford Group is looking for a reliable and pro‑active Delivery Driver to join our warehouse & logistics team, delivering stock from our Basildon distribution centre to our stores across Essex, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, West Sussex and Oxfordshire. Training for this role may be conducted in a different distribution hub in Bishop’s Stortford.

Main Responsibilities:

• Start your day early (flexible start time before 7.30am) to ensure timely deliveries. The earlier you start, the earlier you finish!
• Pick and load stock from our warehouse and cold storages onto your van
• aDeliver goods to multiple store locations following a set delivery schedule
• Carry out essential vehicle and food safety checks before and during your route
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and organised
• Support the team by covering routes during staff annual leave and/or absence periods

Skills Required:

• Confident driving skills across motorways and residential areas
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks (loading and unloading tasks)
• At least 1 year of experience driving a van
• A team player with a positive attitude to good management
