Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a diligent LCV Driver to join our team, ensuring timely collections and deliveries from customer sites while meeting customer expectations. The role requires safe operation of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and professional conduct when visiting sites.

You will load and unload cargo, verify vehicle safety, and comply with WTD and company safety policies. A B-category license with minimal points is required, plus strong numeracy and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category B with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge and LCV experience.
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
