Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a talented LCV Driver to join our team, ensuring timely collections and deliveries from customer sites while consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations. The role requires passing a full clean DBS check and providing a 5-year reference history.

The driver will operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, ensure safety and roadworthiness, load/unload securely, visit customer sites, and maintain compliance with safety and WTD regulations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence category B with up to 6 points.
• Safety-focused approach for company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• LCV experience and geographical knowledge desirable.
• IT systems ability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys and secure loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive regulations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
