Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a talented HGV Driver Lorry Loader to join our team in Whitehaven. You will help ensure timely collections and deliveries from customer sites while consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities include operating commercial vehicles, safety checks, loading/unloading with the lorry loader, visiting customer locations and adhering to safety and working time regulations.

Qualifications

• Hold a Cat C+E licence with up to 6 points.
• CPC certification is essential.
• Tachograph card holder.
• Safety‑minded approach to vehicle operations.
• Polite and professional when visiting customer premises.
• Hiab licence desirable, training provided.
• IPAF knowledge desirable, training provided.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems; FORS knowledge desirable.

• Load and unload equipment by operating the lorry loader.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload equipment by operating the lorry loader
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category C+E - with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
