Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated LCV Driver to support timely collections and deliveries to customer sites. You will operate vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, ensuring safety checks, loading/unloading, and clear communication with customers.

You will adhere to safety and legal requirements, develop your route knowledge, and contribute to a reliable service that meets customer expectations. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a valid driving licence category B with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge and LCV experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, plus safe loading/unloading and security of loads.
• Visiting customer locations and communicating with internal and external customers.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
