Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a Van Driver with towing capability to join our team in Aberdeen. You will ensure timely collection and deliveries to customer sites while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

The role involves driving vans up to 3.5 tonnes, towing equipment where required, and visiting customer premises. Training is provided for towing; forklift licence and IT skills are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence category B with up to 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite and courteous manner when visiting customer premises.
• LCV experience.
• Towing experience preferred but training can be provided.
• Forklift license desirable.
• Geographical knowledge desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes with towing attachments.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys; secure loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal/external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented Van Driver Towing to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes with towing attachments for transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
