Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is recruiting an LCV Driver Technician to manage timely collections and deliveries to customer sites. You will install and uninstall equipment, perform basic maintenance, and ensure vehicle safety and load security.

The role requires a valid B license, good communication, and IT system use. Desirable: geographical knowledge and towing or multi-drop experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category B - with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive safety focus for company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Ability to use IT systems (e.g., ordering, updates).
• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Geographical knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes for deliveries and collections.
• Install and uninstall technical equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out basic equipment maintenance, cleaning and prep.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before journeys.
• Load/unload and secure vehicle loads correctly.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal/external customers.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented LCV Driver Technician to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods
• Perform installation and uninstallation of technical equipment on customer sites
• Carrying out basic maintenance, cleaning and preparation of equipment, while also at times supporting with general operations of the business
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
