Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to ensure timely collections and deliveries to customer sites. Training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role, with a focus on safety and compliance.

You will operate commercial vehicles, perform loading/unloading, and visit customer premises while maintaining professional communication. The position offers development opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Driving license category C1 with no more than 6 points.
• CPC certification.
• Tachograph card.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Plant maintenance or mechanical experience is desirable, however training can be provided.
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).
• FORS compliant (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, and load/unload securely.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Install plant attachment equipment on customer sites.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive at all times.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Installing plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
