Job summary

Big Motoring World is seeking a Valet Manager to oversee the valeting team and maintain high presentation standards for customer vehicles. You will lead, plan workloads, train staff and ensure timely completion of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on quality, safety and efficient operations, with hands-on supervision and close collaboration with workshop and prep teams. A full UK driving licence is required.

• Has previous experience within a valeting or vehicle preparation environment.
• Has experience supervising or leading a team.
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.

• Has a strong understanding of health and safety within a working environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the valeting team, allocating workloads and monitoring productivity.
• Ensure vehicles are valeted to company standards and completed within agreed timescales.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure vehicles meet our presentation standards.
• Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
• Address performance, attendance and timekeeping issues where required.
• Plan and prioritise workloads to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles.
• Work closely with workshop and preparation teams to support daily operations.
• Monitor team performance against daily targets and expectations.
• Communicate daily priorities, targets and vehicle progress to the team and management.
• Report any delays, issues, hazards or equipment faults to management.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and equipment and chemicals are used correctly.
