Job summary

Big Motoring World is seeking a Valet Manager in Camberley to oversee the valeting team, ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared and presented to a high standard before customer delivery.

This hands-on supervisory role leads workloads, maintains quality standards, trains staff and collaborates with workshop and preparation teams to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in valeting/vehicle preparation.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise valeting team, allocate workloads and monitor productivity.
• Ensure vehicles are valeted to standards and completed on time.
• Conduct quality checks to meet presentation standards.
• Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
• Address performance, attendance and timekeeping issues as needed.
• Plan workloads to maintain efficient vehicle flow.
• Coordinate with workshop and preparation teams daily.
• Monitor and report on team performance against targets.

About The Role

As a Valet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the valeting team, ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared and presented to a high standard before reaching our customers.

This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you will lead the team, manage workloads, maintain quality standards and ensure vehicles are prepared efficiently to meet customer delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the valeting team, allocating workloads and monitoring productivity.
• Ensure vehicles are valeted to company standards and completed within agreed timescales.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure vehicles meet our presentation standards.
• Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
• Address performance, attendance and timekeeping issues where required.
• Plan and prioritise workloads to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles.
• Work closely with workshop and preparation teams to support daily operations.
• Monitor team performance against daily targets and expectations.
• Communicate daily priorities, targets and vehicle progress to the team and management.
• Report any delays, issues, hazards or equipment faults to management.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and equipment and chemicals are used correctly.

Person specification

• Has previous experience within a valeting or vehicle preparation environment.
• Has experience supervising or leading a team.
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.
• Can effectively organise workloads and manage competing priorities.
• Is confident communicating with both team members and management.
• Can motivate a team and lead by example.
• Has a strong understanding of health and safety within a working environment.
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Is reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
