Job summary

Hippo Digital is recruiting for intermediate consultants in user research. You will design, plan and conduct research to understand what people need from a service and produce recommendations for user-centred service design. You will test services as they are designed and use evidence to explain design decisions to clients.

You’ll work with designers, product owners, developers and Agile teams, advising on how to design user-centred services and collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience working with senior stakeholders
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain insights
• Working knowledge of user-centred design principles and practices
• Understanding of client strategic objectives and how research insights support them
• Ability to explain findings and handle stakeholder challenges

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute user research to support product design
• Identify appropriate research methods depending on the service lifecycle phase
• Help the team build empathy for service users
• Support usability evaluation sessions
• Write research reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with Agile, multidisciplinary teams in a user-centred design process
• Learn from insights to define and improve the service and explain decisions
• Run workshops with the team and stakeholders
• Share best practices within Hippo research and design community
