Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support primary students across Kingswood schools. You will assist with learning activities, nurture pupils one-on-one or in small groups, and help delivery of lessons in mainstream classes.

Experience with SEN is a bonus; DBS on update service is preferred or candidates must be willing to apply. The role offers weekly pay, CPD, and supportive consultants throughout Bristol and surrounding areas.

We're on the hunt forTeaching Assistantsto support students across primary schools in Kingswood. You’ll be helping pupils thrive in their learning - whether that’s one-on-one, in small groups, or supporting the wider classroom. You will also be working in mainstream classes, supporting the class teachers in the delivery of the lessons.

Experience with SEN is a bonus - but not a dealbreaker.What matters most is your energy, empathy, and enthusiasm. Maybe you’ve done youth work, sports coaching, or you’re studying psychology? If you know how to build rapport and motivate young people, you're halfway there.

  • Supporting students with additional needs so they can engage, learn, and grow
  • Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support
  • Creating a calm, inclusive learning environment
  • Bringing positivity, patience, and a sense of humour to every school day
What we’re looking for:
  • Someone who’s caring, confident, and loves a challenge
  • Previous experience with SEN - or a genuine willingness to learn
  • People from sports, coaching, youth work, or psychology backgrounds are especially welcome
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
