Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Bristol, with opportunities in primary, secondary and SEND settings. Candidates from varied backgrounds are encouraged—experience as teaching assistant, support worker, youth worker or volunteering is welcomed, with 6+ months TA experience considered.

Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, helping with classroom activities, and fostering inclusive, safe learning environments

Qualifications

  • Experience as Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, or relevant volunteering experience.
  • 6+ months Teaching Assistant experience is considered.

Responsibilities

  • 1:1 or small-group pupil support.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
  • Support children with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs).

Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants across Bristol. We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Teaching Assistants, SEN TAs, Support Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Support Workers, and candidates with relevant volunteering experience.

Your experience could include:
  • Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant experience.
  • Learning Support Assistant experience.
  • Support Worker or Care Worker experience.
  • Youth Work or mentoring experience.
  • Mental Health Support Work.
  • Experience supporting children or young people.
  • Relevant volunteering within schools, nurseries, charities, or community settings.
  • 6+ months of Teaching Assistant experience is also considered.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
  • Supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
