Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Bristol to support learning, build confidence and help children succeed. The role is full-time with a September start, offering opportunities across Primary, Secondary and SEND settings and a pathway to long-term roles. DBS checks are required, and free safeguarding training is provided.

SEN Teaching Assistant

We're working with a school in Bristol who are preparing for the new academic year and they're on the lookout for a SEN Teaching Assistant.

If you enjoy helping children learn, build confidence and succeed, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your responsbilities will include:

  • Delivering small group interventions
  • Supporting children with their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher to bring lessons to life
  • Confidentlty managing behaviour
  • Supporting children with additional needs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a school setting
  • Some experience with SEN/ behaviour management, or an interest in developing your skills
  • A team player, willing to build relationships with pupils and staff
  • A calm, patient and supporting approach to learning
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one
