Job summary

Intact Insurance, the new name for RSA in the UK, is recruiting a Delegated Property & Liability Underwriter to join the Delegated Underwriting team in Manchester or Bristol on a hybrid basis.

You will underwrite Property & Liability business for delegated brokers, build broker relationships, and apply pricing strategies to grow profitability. The role involves collaboration with colleagues and representing the brand at industry events.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Property & Liability business for delegated authority brokers.
• Negotiate terms outside brokers binding authority when needed.
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk assessment to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Represent the brand at broker meetings, events, and field visits as required.

We are currently recruiting for a Delegated Property & Liability Underwriter to join our Delegated Underwriting team in Manchester or Bristol on a hybrid basis.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Working with Delegated Authority Insurance Brokers, underwriting and negotiating Property & Liability business that falls outside of the brokers binding authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed

Your skills and experience:

• Experience of Property & Liability Insurance from an Underwriting background
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• Existing Broker relationships would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers
