Job summary

Intact Insurance, the newly named RSA group in the UK, Ireland and across Europe, is seeking an experienced commercial lines underwriter to drive high-quality outcomes through broker relationships and strong underwriting leadership.

You will negotiate within authority, apply pricing strategies, and collaborate with teams to share insights, supporting broker growth and improved underwriting practices across our regional network.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Property & Casualty underwriting is essential.
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate Property & Casualty business within your authority.
• Build and maintain excellent broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and support broker team ideas.
• Represent our brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed.

This role is within the Commercial Lines Regions business and reports to a CommercialManager.The roleis accountable for delivering high‑quality underwriting outcomes through broker relationships, while coaching and supporting underwriters to build capability and drive consistent team performance.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property & Casualty business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
