Job summary

Intact Insurance, the new name for RSA in the UK, Ireland and across Europe, is looking for a Commercial Lines Underwriter. You will underwrite and negotiate Property & Casualty business, build strong broker relationships, and apply pricing strategies to drive profitable growth.

The role involves collaborating with colleagues, improving processes, and representing the brand at events. Hybrid working with flexible hours, and a focus on development and mentoring within a supportive team

Win as a team

This role is within the Commercial Lines Regions business and reports to a Commercial Manager . The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality underwriting outcomes through broker relationships, while coaching and supporting underwriters to build capability and drive consistent team performance.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property & Casualty business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed

Your skills and experience:

• Extensive experience of Property & Casualty Underwriting is essential
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers
