Intact Insurance in the UK is recruiting a Delegated Property & Liability Underwriter to join the Delegated Underwriting team in Manchester or Bristol on a hybrid basis. You’ll work with Delegated Authority Insurance Brokers, assess risk, set pricing strategies, nurture broker relationships, and contribute to process improvements to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience of Property & Liability Insurance from an underwriting background.
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy.
• Existing broker relationships would be beneficial.
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Delegated Authority Insurance Brokers, underwriting and negotiating Property & Liability business that falls outside of the brokers binding authority.
• Build and maintain excellent broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas.
• Represent our brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed.
