Job summary

Smart Education are seeking a Tutor to work in Lincoln on a contract basis with flexible hours and a pay rate of £26.62 per hour. The role involves 1:1 tutoring, DBS check, and supporting English, Maths or Science with SEN/SEMH awareness.

Work is in home or residential settings with students from diverse backgrounds, ages ranging from key stage 1 to further education depending on experience. Planning time is paid and Twinkle account provided.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• QTS/QTLS/PGCE or subject specialization or tutoring experience in English/Maths/Science.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience with SEN/SEMH for students with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Being a tutor involves working in a home setting; 1:1 with students from diverse backgrounds and differentiating needs.
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students outside mainstream education.
• Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one

• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited

• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
