Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting a Tutor to work in Upton on a contract basis with flexible hours. You will deliver 1:1 tutoring, developing personalised strategies and supporting learners across various backgrounds and age ranges.

The role requires an enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one, plus UK teaching or tutoring experience and SEN/SEMH awareness. Great for professionals seeking flexible, home-based tutoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire one.
• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Responsibilities

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person’s re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
