Job summary

Smart Education are currently recruiting for a Tutor to work in Upton, on a contract basis with flexible hours and a pay rate of £26.62 per hour. The role involves 1:1 tutoring in home settings, supporting English, Maths and/or Science, and requires an enhanced DBS and UK teaching experience.

You will differentiate learning, develop personalised strategies for learners including those with SEN/SEMH, and align with school hours. Benefits include planning time and access to a Free Twinkle account.

Qualifications

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one
• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in home settings, differentiating needs across backgrounds
• Developing personalised learning strategies for learners who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited
