Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment are currently seeking a Tutor to work in Lincoln on a contract basis. Pay rate £26.62 per hour, with flexible hours and 1:1 tutoring across English, Maths and Science.

You will hold an enhanced DBS on update service or be willing to obtain one, and have QTS/QTLS/PGCE or equivalent. You will support learners including those with SEN/SEMH in home or suitable settings.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to acquire one.
• Qualified to teach English, Maths and/or Science.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching or tutoring UK experience.
• Experience working with learners with SEN/SEMH.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 tutoring with students from varied backgrounds and differentiating needs.
• Developing personalised learning strategies for learners not in mainstream education.
• Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education.
• Delivering targeted tutoring across English, Maths and Science as appropriate.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one
• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
