Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting a Tutor to work in Solihull. The role is contract and flexible hours, with a pay rate of £26.62 per hour.

You will work 1:1 with students, often in home settings, providing tailored support across KS1 to further education depending on experience. We are seeking candidates with QTS/QTLS/PGCE or relevant tuition experience in English, Maths or Science, plus at least 1 year of UK teaching experience and SEN/SEMH experience.

Qualifications

• DBS on update service or willingness to acquire one
• QTS/QTLS/PGCE, Subject Specialism or tuition experience in English, Maths and/or Science
• Minimum of 1 year teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience with SEN/SEMH and working with children/young people

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting, differentiating needs.
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students not in mainstream education.
• Supporting a young person\'s re-engagement in education.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one

• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited

• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person s re-engagement in education
