Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting a Tutor to work in Hereford on a contract basis with flexible hours. The role involves 1:1 tutoring with students in home or residential settings, including LAC environments, and developing personalised learning strategies to re-engage learners outside mainstream education.

Applicants should hold QTS/QTLS/PGCE or have extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths or Science, plus an enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS/PGCE or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Experience with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments).
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education.
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style.

Job Requirements of a Tutor
