Job summary

Smart Education are seeking a Tutor to support learners in Gloucester on a contract basis. The pay rate is £26.62 per hour, with flexible hours and 1:1 sessions in home or residential settings.

The role requires QTS/QTLS/PGCE or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths or Science, SEN/SEMH experience, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). You’ll develop personalised learning plans and adapt teaching to diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Professional teaching qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE) or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Experience working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments)
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style
