Job summary

Smart Education Recruitment is seeking a Tutor to work in North Hykeham on a contract basis. The role is 1:1 tutoring with flexible hours, paid at £26.62 per hour. A enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain one.

Applicants should have QTS/QTLS/PGCE or subject specialism with tuition experience in English, Maths and/or Science, and at least 1 year UK tutoring experience, including SEN/SEMH awareness.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one.
• QTS / QTLS / PGCE, Subject Specialism or tuition experience in English, Maths and/or Science.
• Minimum 1 year teaching or tutoring UK experience.
• Experience with children/young people with SEN/SEMH.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 tutoring in a home or residential setting; ages range from KS1 to further education depending on experience.
• Develop personalised learning strategies for students outside mainstream education.
• Support a young person’s re-engagement in education.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one

• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited

• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person s re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
