Job summary

Smart Education are currently recruiting a Tutor to work in Solihull on a contract basis. You will work 1:1 with students at home or in suitable settings, tailoring learning to individual needs across various levels depending on experience.

The role requires an enhanced DBS, teaching qualifications (QTS/QTLS/PGCE or subject specialization) and UK tutoring experience; you will develop personalised strategies and support re-engagement in education while benefiting from flexible hours and

Qualifications

• DBS enhanced on update service or willingness to acquire one.
• QTS/QTLS/PGCE or subject specialism or tutoring experience in English, Maths and/or Science.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching or tutoring UK experience.
• Experience with SEN/SEMH and working with children/young people with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home setting; differentiating needs; ages KS1 to FE depending on experience.
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education.
• Supporting a young person’s re-engagement in education.
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person s re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
